Temple Time!
We were able to go to the temple! We wore headsets because we went through the session in Portuguese but it was cool! I drew pictures of the temple in my notebook. I'm starting to get into drawing and I'm pleased with how they look, if I do say so myself. I have been so tired while in the CTM. I even fell asleep in the chapel of the temple before our session. After the temple I had a "pastel", which is kind of like a big hot pocket - there was chicken and cheese inside this kind of dough and then fried. It is probably the best thing I've eaten so far; and then later we went to Mr. Cheney's for a couple of cookies.
I've memorized the First Vision, Moroni's promise, learned how to pray and a few other things, all in Portuguese! (of course)

Sao Paulo Missionary Training Center (CTM)
After leaving Las Vegas, we flew to LA and only one sister missionary joined us on the flight to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Once in Sao Paulo we went through customs and took our shuttle to the CTM (Centro de Treinamento MissionĂ¡rio). We dropped our bags in our rooms (I'm on the 5th floor), got our name tags and got our companions. My comp is Elder Curtis Delap from Ohio. The days after that are kind of a blur. We got scriptures and some other books and have been in the classroom learning Portuguese and the gospel the vast majority of the time. Everyday is pretty much: wake up at 6:30am, eat, go to class, eat, go to class, eat, exercise, devotional, go to bed. Tuesdays we email/call home. Wednesdays are our pday. There is a cookie store across the street from the CTM called Mr. Cheney's. They have great cookies! They eat a lot of beans and rice here. It's not so bad but the leftover beans and rice get recycled and he eat them the next day. We can't send photos right now but I will send them once I leave the CTM.
