"Emergency Transfer"

So I'm going to just give y'all a rundown of what happened this past week because I don’t have too much time. The week was good and we had the opportunity to baptize Paulo Rodriguez dos Santos Jr. But without us knowing, the bishop in the ward was interviewing our investigators, only the district leader, zone leaders or the mission president are supposed to interview new converts over the age of 8. He has also called Presidente Lago 3 times this past month to complain about the rules and orders we have. Well, I got a call this last Saturday from Presidente Lago and the zone leaders asking me about Junior and if he is drinking coffee. I told them the truth, he drinks cervada (a coffee substitute we gave him) and that he is more than ready to be baptized. I received another call that night from the zone leaders saying that I will be leaving the area the next day and that I need to start packing my bags. The next morning we went to church and baptized Paulo (Junior) and then later my comp and I packed everything up, left Sobral at 11:30 pm, and arrived in Teresina at 5:50 am. We got to the mission office and Presidente Lago said we did nothing wrong and that "the Lord's house is a house of order”. So that area is not going to have full-time missionaries right now. He then went on to say that I'll travel with my comp to Floriano and "oh yeah, you're going to be a district leader" lol. So that's all that went down this week and I’ll see y'all next week hopefully!

Junior actually helped build the font years ago. This week he got baptized in it!

Patience!!

Alright family. This past week wasn't very eventful and we didn't have as much success as I wanted. My son was a giant burden this week. He hasn't been showing me any respect or following any of my requests without me having to yell at him to do it. I try my best to be patient and always say please and thank you, but daaaang. This must be like how I was with y'all raising me. I just have o espírito de discórdia comigo agora (the spirit of contention with me right now). And like Jesus said "it is not of me, but of the devil" or something like that. I didn't get to baptize anybody this week cause Junior went to work at 4am the day of his baptism to provide food for his family. All in all, I just want to forget this week and throw some kids into the water of baptism this next week. Peace!

Kaua's Baptism!

Yes, yes I know. Another week, another baptism – haha jkjk. His name is Kaua Alves Sousa and he is 12 years old. Anyways this week was surprisingly really good! I'm actually starting to get used to living and withstanding meu filho amado (my beloved son) and we're putting in work.  My son, Elder Proença, was really sick this week and I literally stayed in the house for two days straight cause I couldn't leave him alone. It's all good though.

This is Juvenal, the ward mission leader, with us. He's the best!

The two funniest and best stories I got for this week would have to be how crazy the rain has been, like dang! The streets were flooded up to my shins and it was not my favorite when these big cargo trucks destroyed me with a wave of water from the road that I couldn’t evade.

The other story was actually the day of the baptism. We visited Kaua's house to talk to his mom cause I haven't really yet, but she didn't want to talk to us at all. It came to the time we were picking him up to go to the baptism and I was like, “dude we need to know if your mom's fine with this". He entered the house, came out and said, "my mom said that she already signed the paper and doesn’t want to talk to you" lol. So I was like "ight bet" and we baptized him. My son baptized him....twice lol. Cause Kaua’s leg was above the water the first time. But yeah, that's about everything for this week. Tchau!
