Zone Conference and a Baptism!

This week was a lot better than the last one and a real testimony builder. Sadly my district has not gotten any more success; actually, their numbers were even worse this week. Whoops. Throughout the week I was runnin' around trying to get in a lot of lessons as well as continue progressing with my boy, Marcelo! Then on Sunday, we had the opportunity to baptize him - Marcelo Viera de Aquino! I've been workin with him for a month, so I'm really happy he's finally a member of the true Church of Jesus Christ. I also brought Carminha (new investigator) to church as well. So we'll end up baptizing her and then her daughter, Depois.

Zone conference was pretty neat as well and I killed it in a trivia game where you ran to a bell to ring it. We talked a lot about fazendo nossas contas (doing our work) and learning everything we can about the Restauração (Restoration) before General Conference in April. I challenge you guys to study up cause it's gonna be HUGE! (like Trump's wall)

Anyways, I'm feelin pretty good and I also had an experience where I ran into a drunk guy in the road (he was a member of the church) and he took me to see a friend of his to talk about the church. Her name is Ruth and she wants to be baptized! God works in mysterious ways. Love y'all!

Survivor (Turtle Edition)

This past week was meh. Everything was going so well and it all went to doo doo. There's nothing really to tell you guys except that the zone leaders came Wednesday night at midnight and we left at 6am to do a baptismal interview that all went to waste. Nobody came to church and we will be starting anew this next week. Some things that went well - I saved a turtle's life and carried him around the city with me until I found a river-type thing. Then everything for Carnival is getting up and going right now and it's all hectic around here. It will officially start Saturday and end on Tuesday. But they already are playing music until 4am and the streets/bars are starting to crowd up. That's basically the only thing interesting in my life and I just hope this next week is better than the last. Love y'all!

Batismoooo!!

This past week was pretty nice. It started with me doing some splits with the Zone Leaders and doing my first ever planned out District meeting in front of everybody. We housed all of my district and the zone leaders Monday night and it was funny haha. They said I did an amazing job in the meeting and at the end of the day Elder Petty (St. George boy that went to Desert Hills High School) said that I'm going to make a difference here in the mission. Throughout the whole week I was just caring for my datas for this Sunday and then trying to hit the weekly goals. It rained a bunch on Friday, which was actually the day I went on splits, Elder Sly did my baptismal interviews and I went with his comp to teach in their area. I took some sick pics by a river in their area.

It wasn't a very eventful week besides the fact that I spoke in church after my comp baptized Gicimar Vieira dos Santos(35) and Elliayda de Sousa Gonsalves(16)!!

I spoke about missionary work and "how the members can help" and it was pretty good I guess. I basically forgot everything when I went up there so I rambled for about 10-15min. And nobody really listened anyways so that didn't matter too much hahaha. I'm a little triggered with my comp again, but I'll try again to find what little love I had for him before. Tchau!

Ingrown Toenails!

Floriano Church

This week was pretty dank if I do say so myself. So after talking to mom and dad on Pday, I went to a "padolago" to get my ingrown toenails fixed and they straight up did some surgery on both of my toes and it killed! She was like "Don't push back! Don't move!" and I almost yelled cause they didn't numb it up or anything, 'cause you know, Brasil haha. But it's all good cause I had immediate relief when she pulled those suckers out and now I'm back to running when I want to without pain!

We didn't have too much success this week cause we had to start from scratch, but we did end up bringing one guy to church and he's a strong investigator. Some members also brought some people to church and 4 people in total CAN be baptized this week, but I gotta teach them everything first. So those are guaranteed lol;)

All in all, I'm just happy to have monkeys in my area. They are my friends.
